English is my second language, so yesterday when I heard this song from Peter Pan film back in the 90s on TV and it was just this song not the whole film. I wondered at that age what she was saying? the only thing I knew at that time with my poor few English words was 'Mother, My'' and until this day I thought she was saying "Oh Mother and My" and by the way this is how I searched for it but it was "my mother and mine". it's so different to hear it now and see what it was written as a tattoo on his chest. Grateful I learned English all by my self since I was in elementary school from TV learned so many words and understand it from sesame street program and other programs like the electric company and still remember the spider man song "spider man where are come from spider man" (i wrote come not coming because this is how i thought they were saying) or from Silhouette Blends and how to say the words.
I can't forget the main source of learning and it was from cartoons when it was on our local Arabic and English channels. I remember when I first learned the world "Train" and "elephant" from sesame street and even the scene of the train moving.
I'm thankful to Allah for my second language that helped me a lot since i was kid, never thought that one day i will be able to speak or write with more confident although i still make mistakes and try to learn more. It's good to know not just one language, i can't imagine myself only speak one! how do people with only one language live their lives without feeling like something is missing!
